About Us

Beere Electrical services is based in Lightwater Surrey, close to J3 of the M3.

We have been established for 9 years and are an NICEIC approved contractor. Having built the company up to a staff of 15 catering for every conceivable electrical related market, the rewards of running the business were fast outweighed by a lack of home life and it was decided in June 2008 to reduce the scope of works and concentrate on a more specific client base.

To this end it was decided to concentrate on the commercial and demolition / redevelopment sides of the business as Rob was looking after these sectors personally at the time.

2010 finds us rebranded with our vehicles now a low-key silver as opposed to the original bright yellow,
Our team is smaller, dedicated and extremely well trained having the ability to work at heights above ground, in confined spaces below ground and any where in between safely.

The company is run from our Lightwater Office which is manned by Sue.
The onsite teams are led by Rob Beere and Mike Hornbuckle with Ryan and Ben and Will in support.
We have resources to double the size of the fixed team for large cable and installation projects which makes us a viable alternative to larger, more anonymous companies.

The team consists of:

Sue Plumley

Company Secretary and Finance Director.
Sue formed the company with Rob Beere in 2001 and looks after the teams vehicles, training, clothing, welfare and administration needs.
She is also the one who hunts down the outstanding invoices.

Rob Beere Aka Heston

Managing Director / Senior Team Leader.
Allowed to make company policy decisions occasionally subject to Sue’s whims.
Having worked in and around the electrical industry for 20 years, Rob decided that running his own company would give him more free time than an 8-5.
He now works from 6 in the morning till 10 at night and is allowed 4 hours off at the weekend.

Mike Hornbuckle Aka Chewy

Team leader.
Mike joined the company 4 years ago, originally hand picked for his ability to change a lamp (light bulb) without the use of a ladder he developed a natural ability for, and an unnatural love of, the demolition world.
Workaholic and all round gentle giant.

Ryan Keyland: Aka Woody

Apprentice electrician 2nd year.
Ryan joined us early this year and is working his way through our demolition training programme having already completed his First aid at work course he is looking forward to confined space training and working with ACMs courses booked for July and September.
Hard worker and enthusiastic.

Ben Douglas Aka Bin

Electricans Mate.
Ben emigrated to Australia under duress at 6months old and has returned to England to avoid the snakes and spiders that hide in his Dunny. On leave at time of photoshoot!
Good on site right hand man and as strong as an ox.

Will Jackson Aka Marine boy

Electricians mate.
Will recently joined us and is currently being assessed.
Yearns to be a Royal Marine Commando and hence the some what un original site name.

Lorraine Dawson

Book keeper (freelance).
